Our Ministry Team

Ultimately our ministry team is the whole church. That's what disciples of Jesus do, they serve one another. At Epping Presbyterian we're privileged to have a great team of elders and other lay leaders as well as a number of paid ministry staff.

  • Kelly Aston - Children's Ministry

Kelly has been part of Epping Presbyterian all her life. She has a background in Social Work and Special Education, and has also studied children's ministry and Bible at SMBC. Kelly began leadng our children's ministry in 2008 - she loves teaching kids about Jesus and is excited about equipping a new generation of leaders with the skills and passion needed for children's ministry in the future. Kelly is married to Dave and they have two children. Kelly works three days a week.

  • Taeyong Chong - Cross Cultural Pastor

Taeyong joined the team to assist us in working towards our vision of "Many peoples one in Christ." He completed his theological studies and was ordained in Korea, and was doing post-grad studies at Macquarie University when he became involved with Epping Presbyterian. Taeyong leads our Cross Cultural Ministry team as well as helping us develop our ministry amongst people from Non English Speaking Backgrounds. Taeyong is married to Hannah and they have four children.

  • Ed Tsai - Church Office

Ed is the administrator of the church office and works Monday to Friday. Ed is married to Emily and they have two children and are part of the 5:30pm community.

  • Mike Eastman - Youth & Young Adult Pastor

Mike's passion is to see young people walk in the light of the gospel and to equip them to share the good news of Jesus. Mike’s journey growing up was one of pain, ridicule, rapid success, collapse, addiction, incarceration and ultimately redemption. Mike called on the Lord at the depths of despair and brokenness. Receiving a Bible in prison, God's word transformed Mike's heart and he gave his life over to serve Him. Mike is currently completing his theological degree at Christ College, and was the director of Crossroads Prison Ministries before joining EPC. He is married to Quynh and they have 4 children.

  • Joshua Ling - Senior Minister

Joshua Ling is married to Valerie. They have two teenagers – Sean and Trinity. Josh first came to Sydney as an International student from Singapore to study at Macquarie University. Through the ministry of the Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF) Josh fell in love with reaching people from the different nations. After working with the Church Missionary Society teaching churches how to connect with internationals, Josh joined EPC in 2019 to lead a team of highly motivated staff and volunteers to reach the nations for Christ, beginning at Epping.
