other priorities in 2025

MISSION AREA

  • Continue emphasis on raising mission heat in the church. Everyone at church being part of our mission with a deep heart for evangelism.
  • Increase the congregation’s confidence in the church’s evangelistic strategy (i.e. confidence inviting friends to connect activities, explore and church)
  • Build the year around the implementation of a mission calendar
  • Run two Explore (Alpha) and Follow courses in the year
  • Create a social media team producing regular social media contents that highlights Christ at work in us.

COMMUNITY AREA

  • Improve welcoming and hospitality team and processes (integrated with Epic Kids check in) so that everyone who visits our church feels the welcome of Jesus and is followed up. 
  • Integrate newcomers to the extent that they develop a genuine sense of ownership and participation in the church’s leadership and future direction.
  • Form a pastoral care team to care for those who need urgent or ongoing extra care (e.g. older members who are housebound)

GROW AREA

  • Provide better support, training and encouragement for growth group leaders
  • Provide mentors for every young adult in the church who wants one and support those mentors

WORSHIP AREA

  • Align the goals and values for all gathered worship teams (service leaders, music, tech)  
  • Recruit and train new service leaders
  • Recruit and train a music leader to oversee music in our gathered worship
  • Roll out a plan to create deeper corporate prayerfulness in the church

GOVERNANCE AND STRUCTURE AREA

  • Begin exploring a renewal of leadership and leadership structure in EPC  
  • Communicate our 5 mission breakdowns and vision clearly to the congregation
  • Form a property committee and explore different options of redevelopment of our site
NEXT GENERATION AREA
  • Continue emphasis on transitions between stages in the Next Gen area (K-2 to 3-6 to youth to young adults) 
  • Continue emphasis on discipleship and training of young adults in the church
  • Recruit and train high level volunteers to have oversight of Epic Kids and Youth
