Next gen area - female gospel worker

Epping Presbyterian Church is a growing community in Sydney’s northwest with a mission to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus for His glory. We are seeking a full-time female gospel worker to join our staff team. Our aim isn’t just to fill a position, we are looking for someone who shares our mission and is eager to join our church and our team. The ideal candidate has her identity secure in Jesus, is adaptable, and demonstrates the ability to lead in various ministry areas, as responsibilities may evolve over time based on the church’s needs and the individual’s gifts.

Primary responsibility - Next Gen Area

  • Making, maturing, and multiplying next generation (0-21yo) disciples of Jesus
  • Leading and equipping the kids, youth and young adults teams at EPC.
  • Establish and oversee pathways of conversion and discipleship for the Next Gen area. This includes implementing evangelistic and connect events for this age group and their families
  • With the Senior Minister, working with and encouraging parents who have the primary responsibility of discipling their children

Secondary responsibility (with the staff team and session)

  • Contribute to developing the overall ministry direction and strategy of the church.
  • Encouraging, recruiting and training women in ministry, particularly in teaching and leadership. 

Essential criteria:

  • Proven gospel transformed godly character and a strong identity in Jesus
  • High emotional and relational intelligence
  • Transferable leadership skill: ability and experience in training leaders and growing a team that is transferable to any area of ministry.
  • An equipping, multiplying and collaborative ministry philosophy
  • Teachability and adaptability to fast changing situations
  • Ability to take initiatives and a gospel-driven, highly motivated attitude
  • Alignment with EPC’s mission and core values
  • Degree level theological training
  • Evangelical Reformed conviction
  • Appreciation of Presbyterian polity and complementarian principles

Desirable criteria:

  • Training and experience in peacemaking and managing conflict
  • Knowledge of Reach Australia framework
  • Experience in recruiting and training apprentices.

Renumeration


Renumeration will be in accordance with the full pastoral assistant or deaconess salary package of the Presbyterian Church of NSW
